Robert Mason was Cry of Love's second singer and recorded the bands second and final album, "Diamonds and Debris" in 1997.

Prior to Cry of Love, Robert Mason had played in several bands, starting with the New Jersey band 'Magnum'. Robert then played with guitarist Stephen Ross in a short-lived band called 'Gem's Edge'.

In 1992, Robert teamed up with legendary guitarist George Lynch to record the 1992, eponymous album 'Lynch Mob'. This was the second Lynch mob release, the first album featured original vocalist Oni Logan.

Since the early 90's Robert had also been part of the band 'Silent Witness' recording their self-titled debut album in 1997. Robert has since been replaced in Silent Witness by vocalist Anthony Lee Fontayne.

After Cry of Love disbanded, Robert reunited with George Lynch and recorded three more Lynch Mob albums. George is currently working on a musical project without Robert but there is nothing to suggest that the group have split.

In the middle of 2003. Robert suffered injury and 2nd degree burns from a Hit-and-Run motorcycle accident.

In 2004, Robert Mason stepped in for vocalist Stephen Pearcy in the band 'Ratt'. Although reports on the internet suggest that the replacement was not strong enough to secure Ratt a record-deal renewal with Sony.

Since 2005, Robert has appeared as singer and 2nd guitarist in the band 'ALIVE'. A large-scale production covers band that dedicates it's setlist to the sounds of the 70's (Deep Purple, Bowie, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin etc). As of March 2007, the future of this band is in doubt due to the time and expense of setting up the shows.

Alongside playing in 'Alive', Robert is also lead singer in 'Big Cock', a Hard Rock band of original material. See links for more...
